How We Built the Project: From Idea to Release 1. Research. First we listen, then we designThe entire development process didn’t start with wireframes or code — it started with conversations.
We spoke with graduates of
Cake_School, gathering real cases: how they manage orders, what apps they’ve tried, what didn’t work for them, and why certain things felt inconvenient. We didn’t impose our own vision — we absorbed theirs.
That gave us a clear picture of which features were truly needed and which ones would just get in the way.
For example, we found out:- Most manage orders through social media, messengers, notes, or a notebook
- Almost no one tracks their finances systematically
- Many forget important dates — and lose clients
- Everyone wants “something simple, like a calendar, but that also shows how much I’ve earned”
2. We designed a user journey mapWe created a user journey map — outlining how users would interact with the app at every stage: from their first login to regular use.
This helped us build a logical and intuitive interface structure.
We identified 3 key principles to guide the design process:- No clutter — only essential features, only important information
- Intuitive visual structure — income, expenses, and reminders should be clear at a glance
- Accessibility for everyone — even for users downloading an app for the first time and afraid to “tap the wrong thing”
3. Design. Clear, beautiful, and heartfeltDesign was especially important. We knew our users are visual thinkers. They care about how things feel — it has to be pleasant, beautiful, and not overwhelming. We chose a calm color palette, modern typography, and well-thought-out screen layouts. We paid attention to everything: from animations to icons. All to create an experience users would want to come back to.
